Main Street Preschool
At Main Street Preschool, our mission is to create a nurturing environment where children can grow in their faith by learning God’s Word, while also developing intellectually, physically, socially, and emotionally through a rich curriculum and engaging activities. We are equally committed to supporting parents and guardians by providing spiritual encouragement, helpful resources, and consistent communication.
Our curriculum is thoughtfully designed to prepare children for future success. We incorporate Heggerty, a daily phonemic awareness program for our pre-kindergarten students, and use Scholastic materials, including monthly magazines and enrichment worksheets. To support early writing skills, we implement Handwriting Without Tears. Our pre-kindergarten classes also enjoy Kindermusik with Nancy Spahr Husky twice a month, and all students benefit from interactive lessons using our smart board technology. Beyond academics, we emphasize the importance of social development, teaching children essential skills like sharing, cooperation, and taking turns.

Preschool Field Trips
Learning extends far beyond the classroom at our preschool! Throughout the school year, our students enjoy a variety of fun and educational field trips that bring classroom lessons to life. Whether visiting local farms, libraries, nature centers, community helpers, or other exciting destinations, each trip is carefully planned to encourage curiosity, hands-on learning, and new experiences. These adventures help children explore the world around them, build confidence, and create lasting memories while reinforcing the concepts they are learning in the classroom.

Social Skills
At Main Street Preschool the children learn so much more than their ABCs and 123s—they learn how to be kind friends and caring members of a community. Through play, group activities, classroom routines, and shared experiences, children develop important social skills such as sharing, taking turns, listening, cooperating, and showing respect for others. They learn to solve problems together, celebrate each other's successes, and build friendships that often last well beyond their preschool years. In our loving, Christ-centered environment, every child is encouraged to grow in confidence, compassion, and kindness while discovering the joy of belonging.

Qualified Staff
Our preschool is blessed with a caring, dedicated team of teachers who are passionate about helping young children learn and grow. Each member of our staff has training in early childhood education and is committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment where every child can thrive.
To ensure children receive the attention and support they need, every classroom is staffed with both a lead teacher and a teaching assistant. This allows us to maintain appropriate teacher-to-child ratios while giving each child the individualized care, encouragement, and guidance they deserve. Our staff works together to create a welcoming classroom where children feel loved, valued, and excited to learn each day.

Healthy Smiles
Good habits begin early! As part of our preschool program, we teach children the importance of good oral hygiene by helping them learn proper toothbrushing techniques. Through fun, age-appropriate instruction and hands-on practice, children discover how to care for their teeth, why brushing is important, and how healthy habits help keep their smiles bright. These lessons encourage independence and give children valuable skills they can continue practicing at home for years to come.

Graduation
One of the most exciting days of the school year is our Preschool Graduation! All of our students participate in this special celebration as we recognize their growth, accomplishments, and the wonderful memories they have made throughout the year. Our Pre-K students proudly wear caps and gowns as they celebrate this important milestone and prepare for the exciting transition to kindergarten.
Graduation is a joyful time for families, teachers, and friends to celebrate all that the children have learned and achieved. It is a day filled with smiles, songs, and special moments that honor the hard work, confidence, and friendships our students have developed. We are incredibly proud of each child and look forward to watching them continue to learn, grow, and succeed in the years ahead.
