Children & Youth Ministries
Main Street United Methodist Church strives to engage children and youth in activities and programs that will nurture their growth spiritually, physically, mentally and socially.
Making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.
At Main Street, children and youth are involved in a variety of ministries, each with the specific goal of helping children to grow in their understanding of what it means to be children of God. Main Street is where children are loved and valued.
Sunday Mornings
Pre-K – 5th Grade
Ages 4-7 | 10:15 – 11:15am
Our children’s ministry for Pre-K-5th grade meets in the children’s area on the ground floor during Gospel Talk, giving parents an opportunity to focus on the message while children learn at their own level. Children meet at 10:15 for Music Rehearsals and are then divided into age-appropriate groups according to that week’s particular lesson.
Youth
Ages 12-18 | 10:30 – 11:15
Students in grades 6 through 12 join us in worship for the first part of their lesson and then meet upstairs in the youth room for a small group discussion.
UMYF – United Methodist Youth Fellowship
Youth in grades 3 – 12 are welcome to participate in our Sunday afternoon youth ministries. We meet each week from 4-6 pm, offering a variety of activities that challenge them to explore how their faith connects with their everyday lives. Our Youth Program builds a sense of community that helps to foster friendships and encourages spiritual development. Whether participating in Sunday School, UMYF, a Missions Ministry or a Weekend Event, youth at Main Street deepen their faith through hands-on experiences, prayer
