God has always helped me through difficult times. He was there for me when my parents and first husband died. My husband Leon and I both believe he helped us find each other when we were each so lonely. Jesus is my example of how I would like to live my life. I cannot be as perfect as Jesus, but I can try.
I have four wonderful children (all adults) and seven terrific grandchildren. My husband Leon has two children and three grandchildren. Our family is very precious to us.
Music has always been my passion as well as my profession. I have two music degrees and continue to teach piano lessons and early childhood music classes. Working with the church Chancel Choir, Jubilation Bells, Carillon Quartet, and children has been extremely fulfilling. I have always been a Methodist. Though my first church was the First United Methodist Church in Glen Ellen, IL, I love now being a part of the church my grandparents were members of and my parents were married in.

Why serve at Main Street?
I am passionate about the importance of music in the church service, and Main Street church staff and congregation are very supportive of this. It gives me personal satisfaction to work with others to provide the best music we can. I also believe this is an ideal way for me to serve my church.
My Most Memorable Moment To-Date.
My most memorable time-to-date was Music Sunday this past May. Every member of our music groups plus the children participated. It was wonderful that many people contributed ideas and helped coordinate the service; it was truly a group effort.
What Most Excites Me About the Future of Main Street.
What excites me most are the goals and efforts to attract younger members. Our children are the future—of our church, our country, our world, and God’s kingdom on earth. With patience and persistence, I believe we can grow our congregation and empower all to continue and expand outreach.
